Woman Seriously Injured in San Diego Pedestrian Crash At B Street and 6th Avenue

San Diego, California (January 13, 2017) – A woman was hospitalized Friday morning after she was struck by a vehicle on a San Diego street, authorities said.

The 6:26 a.m. incident occurred when a 58-year-old male taxi cab driver turned left onto Sixth Avenue from the westbound B Street and struck a 52-year-old female pedestrian.

As per the report, the woman was in a crosswalk at the intersection when the accident occurred.

The victim sustained scrapes to her knees and an open fracture to her left ankle. An ambulance was requested to the scene to transport her to a local hospital for treatment.
