San Diego, CA: Young Girl Hospitalized After Paradise Valley Road Crash

San Diego, California (January 4, 2017) – A young girl was struck by a car early Wednesday morning near the intersection of Paradise Valley Road and Briarwood Road in San Diego, according to a local news source.

The accident took place at about 8:00 a.m. near Boone Elementary School and Bell Middle School.

Reportedly, several witnessed rushed to the scene and pulled the from under the car.

The girl, age about six years and another child were being walked to school by the girl’s grandfather.

The three were in the crosswalk when the girl was struck. She was taken to Rady Children’s Hospital with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the girl stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. It was determined that the driver was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
